Under cashless and digital India, Indian government announced new payment method UPI (Unified Payments Interface). It is provide quick and safe money transfer which is primarily available to use through smartphone applications. Each Bank in India provides its own UPI App for smartphone users.

Google Pay

Google launched Google pay as Google Tez in India.

User can pay or received money through this app and also recharge prepaid and postpaid to their mobile smartphones, pay electricity bills, DTH, Landline, Broadband, Gas, Water, Insurance, Loan Repayment, and tax too. Gogle Pay supports multiple local languages, including Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Tamil, and Telugu.



PayTm is one of the most popular UPI app and digital wallet in India. As per the reports, it has the highest number of features and is widely accepted by the merchant in India. Along with money transfer, one can pay bills and also book movie tickets at a discounted price.



PhonePe is a payments app that allows you to use BHIM UPI to provide a cashless and a seamless payment experience. User's credit card and debit card or wallet to recharge mobile phone, pay all utility bills and also make instant payments at favourite offline and online stores. User can link bank account with registered mobile number with the account.



MobiKwik provides digital wallet with mobile phone based payment system. It helps Online mobile recharge and bill payment with easy and fast access. User can also do dth & data card recharge, pay your electricity, gas, water, and landline bills online.

The idea of UPI was developed by the "National Payments Corporation of India", which is currently being handled by the RBI and IBA (Indian Bank Association). User can add multiple bank accounts on any UPI client mobile app.
